Historic House Park Game Of The Week

Wednesday, 07 October 2020

Historic House Park was constructed as Austin’s High School Football stadium in 1947. Built as a tribute to veterans who served in WWI and WWII, tens of thousands of students and fans have played, marched, and viewed High School Football from these celebrated grounds.

Sun Radio will celebrate the history of this remarkable facility by broadcasting the football games of historically underserved High Schools who, up until this point, have had no broadcast media support. The students, facility, and alumni from these schools are crucial to the fabric of the Austin community, yet their games for some reason have gone without radio or TV broadcast support.

The Historic House Park Game of the week featuring the following schools:

William B Travis High School (1953), A.N McCallum High School (1953), Northeast High School (Reagan 1965), Juan Navarro High School (Lanier 1961), David Crockett High School (1968).

OCT. 15: McCallum vs. Marble Falls
OCT. 23: Travis vs. Navarro
OCT. 29: Northeast vs. Travis
NOV. 13: Navarro vs. Marble Falls
NOV. 20: McCallum vs. Crockett

Broadcast October and November on Sun Radio’s Flagship Austin Signals at 100.1FM, AM1490HD, 96.1FM and SunRadio.com.
