We’ve had some time to recover from SXSW to give you a little recap of our Sun Radio Sessions week, and what a week it was!
We kicked it off strong on Friday, March 10th broadcasting live from the Bullock Museum and celebrating their newest exhibit “Pride & Joy: The Blues of Stevie Ray Vaughan”. Then Sunday night Sun Radio was voted Austin’s “Best Radio Station” at the Austin Music Awards hosted by SXSW and the Austin Chronicle. What a way to kick off the week, right? It gets better!

The next night, we had a rockin’ good time for Blue Monday Live at Trudy’s Four Star with the debut of the Milligan/Vaughan Project (Malford Milligan & Tyrone Vaughan), as well as Johnny Nicholas, and Ray Bonneville bringing the house down.

at El Mercado. We had 57 artists/bands from all across the country coming to perform for us including Parker Millsap, Shinyribs, Nick Waterhouse, Andrew Combs, Brandy Zdan, Bruce Robison, Ha Ha Tonka, The Band Of Heathens, and so many more.
Thank you to the businesses that have supported us, the bands who played for us, everyone who tuned in, everyone that voted us “Best Radio Station” in Austin, and to everyone who came out and donated to the Sun Radio Foundation!
We’ll see ya next year for the 2018 Sun Radio Sessions!
